The paper examines the influence of cooperative behavior on the players' population assignment among alternatives in a non-atomic congestion game with affine cost functions. The formulation of the congestion game is proposed in which the player population consists not only of individualists but also of players acting in the interests of a cooperating group. In this formulation, a Nash equilibrium is explicitly obtained, allowing us to analyze the interdependence and interaction of strategies for assigning players among alternatives in a non-atomic congestion game with groups of cooperating players. It is proven that the number of alternatives sought by cooperating players is always no less than the number sought by individualists. Moreover, when groups of cooperating players compete in a congestion game, a larger number of alternatives can only be sought by a larger group. Finally, it is shown that the average payoff of a cooperating player is never greater than the payoff of an individualist.
