The paper presents a mathematical model of production and transfer of carbon dioxide in the daily time range in forest soils characteristic of East Fennoscandia, focused on a comparative quantitative analysis of diffusion and convection components in order to assess the dynamics of soil respiration and changes in flow directions (into the atmosphere and depth horizons).
